Timothy Ferriss and The 4 Hour Work WeekTimothy Ferriss and The 4 Hour Work Week Welcome to Manifest-Passive-Income.com where we want to show you how to work less at things you hate and learn to make money while having fun. This kind of passive income lifestyle creates a positive change in your mind frame - a change that brings more freedom, happiness and success. We read this book by Tim Ferriss, and agree with him when he says, "The concept of retirement, as well as single offices with 9-5 clocks, is hopelessly outdated. What I have discovered while researching The 4 Hour Work Week is in the last 2-3 years, it’s become possible to do things like outsource your life (with virtual assitants for instance) and create virtual businesse (see the legitimate online business page) , both of which can enable you to live the lifestyle of a millionaire on less than $50,000 per year."
Tim Ferriss came up with the idea for The 4 Hour Work Week while he was guest lecturing in high-tech entrepreneurship at Princeton University. At the time (in 2004) he was living the life of a typical workaholic. Timothy Ferriss was on a fast track to a heart attack, when he realized this was not the life he had intended for himself. He was working well over "the 4 hour work week" (he was putting in about 80 hours a week and making about $40,00 a year). So, Timothy Ferriss decided to take some time off. He started researching who had been successful in making a living with passive income (he calls them "lifestyle design experts"), and then started implementing what he learned. The Definition of Passive of Income The Tim Ferriss definition of passive income is the same definition as the creators of this website cultivate - doing what you love to do and have a passion for, rather than what you have to do. Many times, when you have manifested the passive income lifestyle, you will enjoy what you are working on so much that work and play will blend. You may work the 4-hour work week. You may work a little more, or you may work a little less. The truth is you will be so content with your life, that you will not become obessed with these numbers. For Timothy Ferriss, he "works" about 2 hours every 10-14 days. What this entails mostly is checking emails, to make sure the many people he delegates to (200-300 contractors at any given time) are working on his behalf. Tim Ferriss takes problems out of his way, by placing the lion share of reponsibilities on his contractors. And if you are wondering what he makes today...his income is in the $40,000 a month range. Tim Ferriss is about 31 years old (as of 2008), and The 4 Hour Work Week was his first book. The success of this book is no accident. People from all walks of life are realizing that the life their parents had of working a typical work day and saving for retirement is simply not practical anymore. ___________
In today's economy even if both husband and wife are working 60-90 hours a week, it is still a struggle to save and ultimately retire. And what about the living part. Tim Ferriss does not believe life should be composed of work, some more work, and just a little more work--neither do we! Live More to Find Your Happiness And just so you don't get the wrong idea, Timothy Ferriss does not advocate laziness. He believes in "adding more life, not just subtracting work." So, what does he do when he's not delegating? Here are a few fun activities checked off on the Timothy Ferriss to-do list:
Timothy Ferriss loves excitement, and he created his life so that he now has time to experience the excitement which brings him happiness. The items on your to-do list may be different.
